Library Development Fund

Bequests and Planned Giving
A bequest from your estate allows you to realize significant benefits in reduction of estate and inheritance taxes. Planned giving may include a simple bequest in your will or the donation of trusts, appreciated securities, life insurance, and retirement plans. These testamentary gifts ensure that the Library will continue to evolve and improve. A bequests costs nothing now and gives you the satisfaction of knowing you are sustaining the Wallingford Public Library into the future.
If you inform the Wallingford Public Library of your estate plan, the Board of Managers has the opportunity to thank you now and to invite you to become a member of the Society of Samuel Simpson. If you would like more information about planned giving or becoming a member of the Society of Samuel Simpson, please contact Jane Fisher, Library Director, at (203)284-6411 or at jfisher@wallingfordlibrary.org.
Memorial and Honorary Donations
Consider a tribute gift to the Wallingford Public Library to acknowledge a birthday or other special occasion, honor a loved one, or remember a friend or relative who has passed away.
For a gift of $35 or more, the Library will select and purchase a book in the subject area or format of your choice. A plate with the person’s name will be placed on the inside cover and an acknowledgment will be sent to the closest relative. If you would like to donate a book, please fill out a memorial/honorary book form.
Tribute gifts to the Library Development Fund, which supports a variety of library programs and services, may be made online or by using the printable donation form. Please include the name of the person you are remembering or honoring in the “Additional Comments” field. Let us know if you would like us to send an acknowledgment to the honoree or closest relative.
