If you want to complete your community service hours at the library, stop by this open house and learn about the opportunities available. Volunteering here is so much more than just shelving books!

You can volunteer for a variety of projects, including:

  • making videos for the library’s TikTok
  • a variety of DnD opportunities (make character sheets, DM, even be a player with a first time DM!)
  • teach other teens about your passions
  • run a VR program
  • make art for the teen area
  • participate in a new Debate Club

We’re even introducing a Volunteer-for-a-day program so you can fit tasks in as your schedule allows.

All attendees will be given community service hours for attending the open house.

Can’t make it? Contact Janelle, Volunteer Coordinator, at jrosales@wallingfordlibrary.org to learn more about volunteering at the library.

With a visible mending approach, we will learn the basics on a provided fabric sample, incorporating embroidery stitches, weaving patterns, and color theory along the way. Everyone will go home with a completed sample and small kit to continue their mending at home.
