This December the Wallingford Public Library is celebrating 125 Years Open to the Public! We’d love for you to celebrate with us! Visit walpublib.org/LibraryMemories to share photos and stories of your favorite visits to the library. Photos and stories received by Nov 28th will be displayed in the front foyer during the month of December, including during the Holiday Stroll. Visit the Library during the Holiday Stroll to receive a free commemorative sticker or ornamental token to mark this milestone occasion (while supplies last).

In 1899, under Board President, B.F. Harrison, the Library became a free public library when the Town approved the first appropriation of funds. The Town committed that funding would continue as long as the Library was maintained as a free public institution, and the Association stipulated that the Library would remain free as long as the Town continued its support. We remain ever thankful to the Town for continuing to support the Wallingford Public Library so that it remains free for all!
