Join us as we approach the 80th anniversary of World War II for a talk about pop culture & women on the home front! “Rosie the Riveter” became an iconic image of working women during the war efforts. What was it really like for them? We’ll look at propaganda posters, art, music, photos, and hear real-life accounts of Connecticut women who worked for victory. Presented by Mya Concepcion, Outreach Educator at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History.
This is a hybrid program; patrons have the option of attending in-person at the library or virtually on Zoom. Registration is required - please sign up below!
