In honor of Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the CT-based educational foundation P.E.A.C.E. (Powerful Experiences for Art & Cultural Exchange, Inc.) will be featuring their collection of authentic Asian dolls in the Wallingford Public Library's display cases throughout May. Each doll is from a different culture and represents its unique history of dance, dress, food, and craft. The collection includes dolls from the following Asian countries:
Philippines
Indonesia
Malaysia
China
Japan
Singapore
India
Thailand
This exhibit is a tie-in with our May 21 event "Dolls of Asia: A Journey Through Time and Culture." All are welcome to attend!
